About the Avanti: The Studebaker Avanti was a personal luxury coupé built by the Studebaker Corporation between 1962 and 1963. Studebaker itself referred to the Avanti as "America's Only 4 Passenger High-Performance Personal Car!" in its sales literature. It later set 29 new national stock car speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats, earning it the title "World's Fastest Production Car."
